O Vaticano confirmou que o papa Francisco viajará para a cidade de Fátima, em Portugal, nos dias 12 e 13 de maio de 2017. A visita se dará no cenário em que teria acontecido a aparição da Virgem Maria.

“Na ocasião do centenário da aparição da Beata Virgem Maria na Cova da Iria, e acolhendo o convite do presidente da República e dos bispos portugueses, Sua Santidade Papa Francisco fará uma peregrinação ao Santuário de Nossa Senhora de Fátima entre 12 e 13 de maio de 2017”, informou o Vaticano, em nota.

Essa será a primeira viagem do papa a Portugal.
