O Ministério da Saúde vai distribuir cinco milhões de preservativos durante o carnaval. A ação acontece nos blocos, com a presença do Homem Camisinha, em cidades como Recife, Olinda, São Paulo, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro e Ouro Preto. Serão enviados, a bares selecionados, dispensers com preservativos e cartazes para sinalização dos pontos de distribuição gratuita.

Em 2015, o Ministério da Saúde distribuiu 574 milhões de preservativos (552 milhões masculinos e 22 milhões femininos), superando os 443,8 milhões distribuídos em 2014. Desde novembro, o Ministério emitiu comunicado para que os estados se preparassem para o carnaval. Assim, foram encaminhados, apenas nos meses de novembro e dezembro, 123 milhões de camisinhas. Em janeiro desse ano, nova remessa de 31 milhões foi encaminhada.

CAMPANHA DE CARNAVAL

A campanha de Carnaval deste ano, veiculada entre os dias 27 deste mês e 6 de fevereiro, tem como slogan Deixe a Camisinha Entrar na Festa. Ela reforça o preservativo como a mais importante arma de combate ao HIV e AIDS, trabalhando a mensagem de prevenção nas ações pré-carnaval e durante as festas. Entre as peças estão filme, jingle para veiculação em rádios e versão estendida da música para os trios elétricos e carros de som. Foram investidos cerca de R$ 14 milhões na iniciativa.

No filme, um ator fantasiado de camisinha (Homem Camisinha) ajuda seus amigos em situações icônicas de carnaval, como ser convidado para uma festa e apresentar uma paquera. A idéia é mostrar que a camisinha faz a diferença e, assim, incentivar os jovens a se protegerem contra a AIDS e outras infecções sexualmente transmissíveis em suas relações sexuais.

Também fazem parte da campanha vídeos para redes sociais, peças para a web e ações especiais com os blocos de carnaval, com reforço para as capitais onde foi identificada maior incidência da epidemia, como Manaus e Porto Alegre. Dessa forma, no período pós-Carnaval, o Ministério continuará incentivando a testagem e o tratamento para os casos de sorologia positiva, completando assim, o tripé da prevenção.

O Brasil registrou, em 2015, recorde no número de pessoas em tratamento de HIV e aids: 81 mil brasileiros começaram a se tratar no ano passado, um aumento de 13% em relação a 2014, quando 72 mil pessoas aderiram aos medicamentos. De 2009 a 2015, o número de pessoas em tratamento no Sistema Único de Saúde aumentou 97%, passando de 231 mil para 455 mil pessoas. Isso significa que, em seis anos, o país praticamente dobrou o número de brasileiros que fazem uso de antirretrovirais.

Outro avanço importante é a supressão viral: 91% dos brasileiros adultos vivendo com HIV e AIDS, em tratamento há pelo menos 6 meses, já apresentam carga viral indetectável no organismo. “Isso significa que essas pessoas não mais transmitem o vírus para outras, e que os antirretrovirais fizeram efeito. É um grande avanço em termos de saúde pública, embora o uso da camisinha continue sendo preponderante para previnir a contaminação”, frisou o diretor do Departamento de DST, AIDS e Hepatites Virais, Fábio Mesquita, que nesta quinta-feira (28), apresentou, no Rio de Janeiro (RJ), dados inéditos sobre o tema durante o lançamento da campanha de prevenção às DST e AIDS para o Carnaval 2016.

Esse resultado também significa que o Brasil já atingiu uma das três metas de 90-90-90, pactuadas pelo Programa Conjunto das Nações Unidas sobre HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), que têm como objetivo testar 90% das pessoas vivendo com HIV e aids, tratar 90% destas e que 90% tenham carga viral indetectável até 2020 em todo o mundo.

“O número de pessoas em tratamento representa um recorde histórico. Nunca tanta gente começou a se tratar em um só ano. Em relação às outras metas, o Brasil também tem avançado rapidamente, alcançando melhoras significativas em todos os indicadores. O percentual de brasileiros vivendo com HIV diagnosticados passou de 80%, em 2012 para 83%, em 2014. A ampliação da testagem é uma das frentes da nova política de enfrentamento do HIV e AIDS. Entre janeiro e setembro de 2014, foram realizados 5,8 milhões de testes no país. No mesmo período do último ano, foram 6,4 milhões – um crescimento de 10%. Já em relação à segunda meta, a oferta de tratamento, o Brasil passou de 44% de pessoas tratadas em 2012 para 62% em 2014, um aumento de 41% no período.

PROFILAXIA PÓS-EXPOSIÇÃO

A profilaxia pós-exposição (PEP) é um procedimento que evita a proliferação do vírus HIV caso o medicamento seja tomado em até 72 horas após a exposição ao vírus, como nos casos de sexo desprotegido. O ideal, de acordo com o Protocolo Clínico e Diretrizes Terapêuticas, é que seu uso seja feito nas primeiras duas horas após a exposição ao risco. Ao todo, são 28 dias consecutivos de uso dos quatro medicamentos antirretrovirais previstos no novo protocolo (tenofovir + lamivudina + atazanavir + ritonavir).

Os resultados se devem, em grande parte, às ações como o novo Protocolo Clinico de Diretrizes e Tratamento, que simplifica os procedimentos para o uso de medicamentos antirretrovirais após exposição ao vírus do HIV. Publicado em agosto do ano passado, o documento recomenda um esquema único de tratamento a todas as situações.

Desde esta quinta-feira(28) está no ar, no site do Departamento de DST, AIDS e hepatites virais (DDAHV) do Ministério da Saúde, uma nova área sobre Profilaxia Pós-Exposição (PEP) com informações customizadas para o usuário do SUS, profissionais de saúde e gestores estaduais e municipais. O conteúdo incluirá a lista das 515 unidades de saúde que ofertam a PEP.
