O desempenho do comércio varejista em janeiro reflete a piora dos resultados de setores associados ao enfraquecimento do poder de compra das famílias, na avaliação da gerente da coordenação de serviços e comércio do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), Isabella Nunes.
Os principais destaques negativos vieram do recuo de 4,3% registrado no setor de Móveis e eletrodomésticos, seguido por Hipermercados, supermercados, produtos alimentícios, bebidas e fumo (-0,9%), atividade de maior peso na estrutura do varejo e que recua pelo terceiro mês; e Combustíveis e lubrificantes (-3,1%), grupamento que voltou a mostrar taxa negativa nesse tipo de confronto. Os demais resultados foram: Outros artigos de uso pessoal e doméstico (-1,8%); Tecidos, vestuário e calçados (-0,5%); e Livros, jornais, revistas e papelarias (-0,1%). Artigos farmacêuticos, médicos, ortopédicos, de perfumaria e cosméticos, com variação de 0,1%, praticamente mantém estável o volume de vendas, em relação a dezembro de 2015.
O comércio varejista ampliado, que inclui o varejo e as atividades de veículos, motos, partes e peças e de material de construção, as variações sobre o mês imediatamente anterior foram negativas, com taxas de -1,6% para volume de vendas e de -0,7% para a receita nominal. Em relação ao mesmo mês do ano anterior apresentou queda de 13,3% para o volume de vendas, e de 4,7% na receita nominal de vendas. No acumulado dos últimos doze meses, as perdas foram de -9,3% e -2,3% para o volume de vendas e para a receita nominal de vendas, respectivamente.
Espírito Santo lidera queda
Na passagem de dezembro de 2015 para janeiro de 2016, série com ajuste sazonal, as vendas no varejo foram negativas em 17 as 27 Unidades da Federação. Com as maiores variações negativas observadas no Espírito Santo e Rio de Janeiro, ambos com taxa de -3,1%.
Frente a janeiro de 2015, série original, o comércio varejista registrou queda no volume de vendas para os 27 Estados, com destaque negativo, em termos de magnitude da taxa, para Amapá, com -24,4%. Quanto à participação na composição da taxa negativa do varejo, destacaram-se, pela ordem: São Paulo (-9,7%) e Rio de Janeiro (-10,4%).
Em janeiro de 2016, no comércio varejista ampliado, as 27 Unidades da Federação apresentaram variações negativas no volume de vendas na comparação com o mesmo período do ano anterior, destacando-se Espírito Santo com -26,3% de queda, seguido por Amapá (-23,8%); Sergipe (-22,9%); Goiás (-21,4%); e Alagoas, com -20,8%.
