Linha Verde: faixa exclusiva de ônibus inicia novo programa de mobilidade urbana em Vitória

As faixas exclusivas para ônibus irão ganhar uma sinalização com uma linha verde. O objetivo do programa é estender as faixas e corredores exclusivos para ônibus em outras vias de Vitória.

“Nossa prioridade é o transporte público, uma vez que ele transporta cerca de 60% das pessoas nos horários com mais fluxo. Além disso, é muito mais sustentável que o transporte individual. Por isso, o nome do projeto é Linha Verde, para lembrar que ao investirmos no transporte público, estamos investindo também no meio ambiente e no desenvolvimento sustentável da cidade”, explica o secretário da Setran, Tyago Hoffmann.

“A implantação da linha verde em Vitória cria um espaço privilegiado para o transporte coletivo, que é o caminho sustentável para transporte nas regiões urbanas e tem o duplo sentido de informar que é uma linha verde com mais velocidade para o transporte coletivo, que é ecologicamente mais adequado. A mobilidade urbana que desejamos será resolvida com várias ações somadas: transporte coletivo, calçadas de qualidade, ciclovias, ciclorrotas, ciclofaixas, aquaviário. Do ponto de vista histórico é muito importante, pois a cidade entra de vez na prioridade no trânsito para o transporte coletivo através do nascimento da nossa linha verde. Outros trechos com linha verde virão!”, explicou o prefeito, Luciano Rezende.
