Aneel reajusta bandeira vermelha; taxa extra na conta de luz pode subir 43%

A Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel) aprovou nesta terça (24) uma proposta de reajuste de quase 43% sobre o atual valor da bandeira tarifária vermelha patamar 2, a mais cara do sistema, cobrada sempre que as usinas térmicas mais onerosas precisam ser mantidas ativas para suprir a alta demanda de consumo de energia.

A proposta será submetida à consulta pública, podendo sofrer mudanças. Se o reajuste for aprovado, quando a bandeira vermelha patamar 2 for acionada, os consumidores deixarão de pagar os atuais R$ 3,50 para cada 100 quilowatts-hora (kWh) e passarão a pagar R$ 5 de taxa extra, já a partir de novembro.

A agência também sugeriu alteração da bandeira tarifária amarela, que poderá ficar 50% mais barata, passando de R$ 2 para R$ 1 de cobrança extra a cada 100 kWh. A bandeira amarela é a primeira da escala de cobrança adicional na conta de luz.

Segundo a Aneel, o objetivo da medida é reajustar os valores que as distribuidoras cobram dos consumidores para custear a compra de energia elétrica – custos que aumentam sempre que as usinas térmicas precisam ser acionadas para suprir o mercado consumidor, devido ao baixo nível de água nos reservatórios das hidrelétricas, que são a principal fonte de abastecimento no setor elétrico brasileiro.

A bandeira vermelha patamar 2, a mais cara do sistema, foi acionada no início deste mês pela primeira vez desde que a bandeira vermelha foi desmembrada em duas, em janeiro de 2016. No mês passado, estava em vigor a bandeira amarela.

O acionamento da bandeira vermelha 2 foi adotado devido à baixa vazão das usinas hidrelétricas, já que as chuvas em setembro ficaram abaixo da média.

Nesta sexta-feira (27), a Aneel divulgará a bandeira tarifária que estará em vigor em novembro.
