Bandeira tarifária nas contas de energia de agosto será vermelha

A bandeira tarifária a ser aplicada nas contas de energia elétrica em agosto será vermelha, patamar 1, com acréscimo de R$ 3 a cada 100 quilowatts-hora (kWh) consumidos. Segundo a Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel), o fator que determinou o acionamento da bandeira vermelha foi o aumento do custo de geração de energia elétrica. Em julho, foi aplicada a tarifa amarela às contas.

Em nota, a Aneel justificou nesta sexta (28) que, segundo o relatório do Programa Mensal de Operação do Operador Nacional do Sistema (ONS), o valor da usina térmica mais cara em operação, a Usina Termelétrica Bahia 1, é de R$ 513,51 megawatts-hora (MWh).

“Como o sinal para o consumo é vermelho, os consumidores devem intensificar o uso eficiente de energia elétrica e combater os desperdícios”, informou a agência.

Gastos extras

O sistema de bandeiras tarifárias foi criado em 2015 como forma de recompor os gastos extras com a utilização de energia de usinas termelétricas, que é mais cara do que a de hidrelétricas. A cor da bandeira é impressa na conta de luz (vermelha, amarela ou verde) e indica o custo da energia em função das condições de geração.

Quando chove menos, por exemplo, os reservatórios das hidrelétricas ficam mais vazios e é preciso acionar mais termelétricas para garantir o suprimento de energia no país. A bandeira vermelha, patamar 1, é acionada nos meses em que o valor do Custo Variável Unitário (CVU) da última usina a ser despachada for igual ou superior a R$ 422,56/MWh e inferior a R$ 610/MWh.

Segundo a Aneel, a bandeira tarifária não é um custo extra na conta de luz, mas uma forma diferente de apresentar um valor que já está na conta de energia, mas que geralmente passa despercebido.
