A adoção da bandeira vermelha em outubro contribuiu para a aceleração no Índice de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo (IPCA), divulgado nesta sexta (10) pelo IBGE. Influenciada pelo aumento médio de 3,28% na energia elétrica, a inflação subiu de 0,16% em setembro para 0,42% em outubro. Por outro lado, a taxa acumulada no ano (2,21%) foi a menor registrada para este período do ano desde 1998. Nos últimos 12 meses, o índice acumula alta de 2,70%.

O aumento dos preços da energia elétrica (3,28%) e do botijão de gás (4,49%), que sofreu reajuste de 12,9% na refinaria, fizeram com que Habitação apresentasse a maior inflação (1,33%) entre os grupos, sendo responsável por quase metade do índice no mês, ou seja, 0,21 ponto percentual.

O analista da pesquisa, José Fernando Gonçalves, afirmou que a passagem da bandeira amarela para a vermelha determinou a aceleração da inflação em outubro. E ressaltou: “No próximo mês, continuará vigorando a bandeira vermelha, porém o preço da energia elétrica passará de R$ 3,50 para R$ 5,00 por cada 100 kWh”, aumentando a pressão nos preços da energia.

O grupo alimentos (-0,05%) apresentou queda pelo sexto mês consecutivo, ainda que menos intensa que a verificada em setembro (-0,41%). A deflação deveu-se à redução de 0,74% no preço médio dos alimentos para consumo em casa, com quedas no feijão mulatinho (-18,41%), alho (-7,69%), açúcar cristal (-3,05%), entre outros produtos. A alimentação fora de casa, por sua vez, aumentou 0,16%.
