Catadores de material reciclado de Cariacica estão recebendo treinamento e material de segurança. A prefeitura já entregou 16 pares de botas, material que faz parte do kit dos Equipamentos de Proteção Individual (EPI) para a Associação de Catadores de Materiais Recicláveis de Nova Rosa da Penha (Acamarp). Além disso, também estão em andamento melhorias no espaço da associação. Nesta terça (05) será a vez dos catadores da FlexVida, em Nova Canaã, receberem 10 pares de botas.

“Não adianta disponibilizar o equipamento, sem ensinar a forma ideal de uso. Por isso estamos realizando esse treinamento, para mostrar a importância de usar corretamente todos os equipamentos. Em breve traremos mais materiais”, conta o secretário municipal, Welington Silva.

O catador de materiais recicláveis e presidente da Acamarp, Claves Souza da Silva, destacou a importância dos equipamentos para o desenvolvimento do trabalho. “As botas nos protegem e permitem que o trabalho seja mais seguro. Disponibilizar esses materiais mostra que a prefeitura reconhece o nosso trabalho e a importância que temos para o meio ambiente”, enfatiza Claves.

Um dos assuntos abordados e que contribui para a segurança no trabalho dos catadores é a ampliação do galpão da Acamarp, que já está sendo realizada por meio do trabalho de uma empresa privada, como compensação ambiental. “Com o galpão maior e a área de trabalho toda com cobertura, não vamos pegar mais sol e nem chuva, o que ajuda na qualidade do trabalho”, destaca o catador Claves.

“Por meio da compensação ambiental, conseguimos realizar todo o trabalho de ampliação sem custos para a prefeitura. A parte externa que era exposta, agora terá cobertura e assim, proporcionaremos, mais segurança para o trabalho dos catadores”, explica o secretário Welligton Silva. O galpão está sendo ampliado em 150 metros quadrados.
