China pede moderação na península coreana após envio de porta-aviões dos EUA

A China pediu nesta segunda (10) que os Estados Unidos (EUA) e a Coreia do Norte “ajam com moderação e evitem uma escalada de tensões” após o envio de um porta-aviões nuclear americano à península coreana. A informação é da Agência EFE.

Os Estados Unidos confirmaram que mobilizaram o porta-aviões de propulsão nuclear USS Carl Vinson e seu grupo de ataque para águas próximas à Coreia do Norte em resposta às últimas provocações do regime, que, no dia 5 deste mês, lançou um míssil de médio alcance ao mar.

O Carl Vinson, sob o controle da Terceira Frota (Pacífico Oriental), suspendeu uma visita prevista à Austrália e seguiu para a península coreana, onde esteve há apenas um mês para participar de manobras militares anuais com a Coreia do Sul.

A mudança de rumo do Carl Vinson ocorre justamente depois que, na semana passada, o presidente americano, Donald Trump, reuniu-se na Flórida com o presidente chinês, Xi Jinping. Eles discutiram a necessidade de evitar novas provocações da Coreia do Norte, aliada de Pequim.
