A Polícia Federal (PF) concluiu no fim da noite dessa terça (05) a contagem do dinheiro apreendido em um apartamento na Rua Barão de Loreto, no bairro da Graça em Salvador, que, segundo a PF, “seria supostamente, utilizado por Geddel Vieira Lima [ex-ministro] como bunker para armazenagem de dinheiro em espécie”. Foram contabilizados R$ 42.643.500 e US$ 2.688 milhões, totalizando, em reais, R$ 51.030.866,40.
O dinheiro foi encontrado pelos policiais ao cumprir mandado judicial de busca e apreensão, emitido pela 10ª Vara Federal de Brasília, dentro da Operação Tesouro Perdido, desdobramento da Operação Cui Bono, cuja primeira fase foi deflagrada pela PF em 13 de janeiro deste ano. Os valores apreendidos serão depositados em conta judicial.
O apartamento pertence, segundo a Justiça, a Silvio Silveira, que teria cedido o imóvel ao ex-ministro, para que guardasse, “supostamente, pertences do pai, falecido em janeiro de 2016″. Uma denúncia anônima, feita por telefone, alertou a polícia de que Geddel estaria utilizando o apartamento no bairro da Graça para “guardar caixas com documentos”, o que foi constatado após consultas realizadas aos moradores do edifício.
No documento autorizando a operação, o juiz Vallisney de Souza Oliveira considerou que as práticas precisam ser investigadas “com urgência”, devido aos fatos relacionados a “vultosos valores, delitos de lavagem de dinheiro, corrupção, organização criminosa e participação de agentes públicos influentes e poderosos”. A decisão do juiz, autorizando a operação, foi assinada na última quarta-feira (30).
