Febre Amarela já matou 82 pessoas no estado

Oitenta e duas pessoas de vinte e oito municípios morreram de febre amarela este ano no Espírito Santo. E até o dia 26 de maio, o estado havia registrado 782 notificações de casos suspeitos de febre amarela. Deste número, 374 casos foram descartados para a doença.

Dos demais 408 casos, 256 foram confirmados para febre amarela silvestre, ou seja, com transmissão ocorrida na área rural.  A Secretaria de Saúde continua a vacinando a população e de acordo com a coordenadora do Programa Estadual de Imunizações e Imunopreveníveis da Secretaria de Estado da Saúde (Sesa), Danielle Grillo, ainda há 403.190 doses disponíveis e os municípios continuam os trabalhos de vacinação contra a doença. Até o final da manhã do dia 31 de maio, 3.010.611 pessoas no Estado haviam sido imunizadas.

Febre

A febre amarela é uma doença infecciosa febril aguda, causada por um vírus transmitido por vetores artrópodes, que possui dois ciclos epidemiológicos distintos de transmissão: silvestre e urbano. Reveste-se da maior importância epidemiológica por sua gravidade clínica e elevado potencial de disseminação em áreas urbanas infestadas por Aedes aegypti.

“Neste momento os municípios continuam o trabalho de busca ativa de pessoas que não se vacinaram por falsas contraindicações ou porque não entenderem a importância da vacinação para a prevenção da doença”, disse Danielle Grillo.

Segundo a coordenadora, não há uma meta de vacinação estabelecida, mas a intenção é vacinar 100% do público elegível para receber a vacina, ou seja, quem ainda não tenha nenhuma dose da vacina.

“Os indivíduos a partir dos nove meses de idade, desde que não tenham contraindicação à vacina, devem procurar uma unidade de saúde para se vacinar. Além disso, as equipes municipais estão realizando ação de busca ativa no seu território.”

De acordo com a gerente de Vigilância em Saúde da Sesa, Gilsa Rodrigues, os primeiros casos de febre amarela no Estado foram em Ibatiba, em 11 de janeiro deste ano. “Depois desta data outros casos surgiram. A vacinação teve início no dia 20 de janeiro naquele município”, disse.

Até o dia 26 de maio, 82 mortes por febre amarela foram confirmadas no Espírito Santo neste ano. Outros 20 casos de óbito são investigados.

Indicação para vacina

A indicação para vacinação contra febre amarela é para as pessoas que vivem ou viajam para as áreas de recomendação da vacina. Todos os residentes do estado do Espírito Santo devem receber a vacina.

O esquema da febre amarela é de uma dose, tanto para adultos quanto para crianças. Os indivíduos devem receber a vacina a partir dos nove meses de idade. Assim, a proteção está garantida para o resto da vida.

Monitoramento rápido

O monitoramento rápido de cobertura vacinal (MRC) é um método para avaliar se existem pessoas que ainda não receberam a vacina em diversas áreas dos municípios.

As equipes de saúde percorrem as residências de vários bairros para verificação dos cartões de vacina e identificação de pessoas não vacinadas. Na oportunidade a vacina é administrada em quem não está vacinado. Caso sejam identificadas áreas com baixas coberturas vacinais o município traça estratégias para ampliar essa cobertura.

Os 256 casos confirmados tem como local provável de infecção (sendo estes os locais que os próprios pacientes ou familiares relataram que estiveram no período que antecedeu a infecção) os municípios de: Santa Leopoldina (33), Ibatiba (21), Colatina (21), Domingos Martins (21), Marechal Floriano (13), Brejetuba (10), Santa Teresa (11), Muniz Freire (09), Santa Maria de Jetibá (11), Conceição do Castelo (08), Afonso Cláudio (09), Alfredo Chaves (08), Castelo (08), Serra (07), Cariacica (06), Laranja da Terra (05), Pancas (05), Itaguaçu (05), Baixo Guandu (05), Itarana (05), Irupi (05), Viana (05), São Roque do Canaã (04), Vargem Alta (03), Venda Nova do Imigrante (03), Cachoeiro de Itapemirim (02), Iúna (02), Marilândia (02), Fundão (01), Ibiraçu (01), Aracruz (01), Anchieta (01), Guarapari (01), Ibitirama (01), Muqui (01), Linhares (01) e Conceição da Barra (01).

Com isso, há 152 casos em investigação para Febre Amarela que também são investigados para outras doenças com quadro clínico também de leptospirose, febre maculosa, dengue, dentre outras.
