Febre Amarela tem 11 casos confirmados e duas mortes no ES

A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde (Sesa) confirmou 11 casos de febre amarela silvestre no estado. Duas pessoas morreram. Uma em Ibatiba, outra em Pancas. Sete pacientes receberam alta hospitalar e dois estão internados com quadro estável.

Os dados foram atualizados na manhã desta terça (31) pelo secretário de Estado da Saúde, Ricardo de Oliveira que informou ainda que a Sesa recebeu mais 700 mil doses de vacina contra febre amarela. As vacinas serão enviadas para as Regionais de Saúde nesta terça e estarão disponíveis para retirada pelos municípios na quarta-feira (1º). Outras 300 mil devem chegar até sexta (03).

Este um milhão de doses será destinado à ampliação da vacinação cautelar no Estado e para os viajantes dos demais municípios. Com isso, totalizam dois milhões de doses de vacinas enviadas ao Estado pelo Ministério da Saúde desde o dia 19 de janeiro.

O secretário da Saúde disse ainda que deve solicitar mais 500 mil doses da vacina. O objetivo é reforçar o estoque dos municípios que estão vacinando quem precisa viajar para áreas de risco, inclusive dentro do Espírito Santo. “Entendemos que muitas pessoas têm parentes no interior. Já estamos conversando com o Ministério da Saúde para atender a essa necessidade, que não é imediata, mas é importante. A prioridade é vacinar toda a área de floresta. Alguns municípios nem registraram morte de macaco por suspeita de febre amarela, mas têm área de floresta, por isso estão recendo a vacinação”, explicou Oliveira.

Os 60 municípios que estão realizando vacinação cautelar são: Água Doce do Norte, Alto Rio Novo, Baixo Guandu, Barra de São Francisco, Brejetuba, Divino de São Lourenço, Dores do Rio Preto, Guaçuí, Ibatiba, Ibitirama, Irupi, Iúna, Laranja da Terra, Mantenópolis, Montanha, Mucurici, Pancas, Afonso Cláudio, Ecoporanga, Colatina, Itaguaçu, Governador Lindenberg, Conceição do Castelo, Venda Nova do Imigrante, São Roque do Canaã, São Gabriel da Palha, Marilândia, Domingos Martins, Itarana, Santa Teresa, Castelo, Iconha, Muniz Freire, Águia Branca, São Domingos do Norte, Santa Leopoldina, Santa Maria de Jetibá, Alegre, Apiacá, Atílio Vivácqua, Bom Jesus do Norte, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Fundão, Ibiraçu, Jerônimo Monteiro, Mimoso do Sul, Muqui, Nova Venécia, Ponto Belo, Rio Bananal, Rio Novo do Sul, São José do Calçado, Sooretama, Vila Pavão, Vila Valério, Vargem Alta, Marechal Floriano, Viana, Alfredo Chaves e João Neiva.

Casos confirmados

Os casos confirmados são de moradores de Ibatiba (05), Baixo Guandu (01), Brejetuba (01), Colatina (01), Conceição do Castelo (01), Itaguaçu (01) e Pancas (01). Com isso, há 32 casos em investigação com quadro indicativo também de leptospirose, febre maculosa, dengue e outras doenças com sintomas semelhantes. O secretário salientou que todos os casos registrados até o momento no Espírito Santo são de pessoas residentes em áreas rurais e que a transmissão ocorreu em área de mata.

Oliveira comentou que a febre amarela é um problema que precisa ser enfrentado por toda a sociedade e que é necessário ter tranquilidade em vez de pânico. “Temos buscado conduzir essa situação da forma mais responsável possível, sem ceder ao pânico infundado. É claro que estamos num momento de preocupação, mas estamos conseguindo administrar a proteção à saúde das pessoas”, disse o secretário.

O virologista Pedro Fernando da Costa Vasconcelos, um dos maiores especialistas em febre amarela do mundo, está no Espírito Santo, a convite da Secretaria de Estado da Saúde, para acompanhar as ações de enfrentamento contra a doença. Além de diretor do Instituto Evandro Chagas (IEC), no Pará, ele ocupa posições em diversas outras instituições no Brasil e no exterior, e participou diretamente do isolamento e da caracterização de mais de 10 mil cepas de vírus e da identificação de mais de 100 vírus novos para a ciência.

Na avaliação do especialista, o Espírito Santo está no caminho certo, adotando as medidas necessárias para evitar o avanço da febre amarela para a área urbana. “Acredito que o risco de urbanização da doença é quase nulo”, comentou Vasconcelos, que realizará uma visita à Ibatiba ainda nesta terça (31) e ministrará uma palestra para profissionais de saúde amanhã, em Vitória.

Vacina

A orientação da Sesa é que os municípios que estão realizando vacinação cautelar vacinem primeiro quem mora na zona rural e depois as pessoas que residem na área urbana. Para o restante do Estado, a recomendação de vacinação continua a mesma: apenas pessoas que vão viajar para regiões silvestres, rurais ou de mata localizadas em áreas de risco para febre amarela, inclusive nestes municípios do Espírito Santo que estão realizando a vacinação cautelar.

Quem for viajar para áreas rurais, a Sesa orienta que utilize roupas que protejam contra picadas de insetos, como blusas de mangas compridas, calças e sapatos fechados, e que use repelente ou vacine-se com no mínimo 10 dias de antecedência, caso seja a primeira dose.
