mulheresO crescimento econômico do Brasil na última década não se refletiu em mais igualdade no mercado de trabalho. Com ou sem crise, as mulheres brasileiras continuam trabalhando mais – cinco horas a mais, em média – e recebendo menos.

A renda das mulheres equivale a 76% da renda dos homens e elas continuam sem as mesmas oportunidades de assumir cargos de chefia ou direção. A dupla jornada também segue afastando muitas mulheres do mercado de trabalho, apesar de elas serem responsáveis pelo sustento de quatro em cada dez casas.

As constatações são da Síntese de Indicadores Sociais – Uma análise das condições de vida da população brasileira, divulgada hoje (2), no Rio de Janeiro, pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). A pesquisa estudou os indicadores entre os anos de 2005 e 2015.

As mulheres tendem a receber menos que os homens porque trabalham seis horas a menos por semana em sua ocupação remunerada. Porém, como dedicam duas vezes mais tempo que eles às atividades domésticas, trabalham, no total, cinco horas a mais que eles. Ao todo, a jornada das mulheres é de 55,1 horas por semana, contra 50,5 horas deles.

De acordo com a pesquisadora do IBGE Cristiane Soares, os homens continuam se esquivando de tarefas da casa, o que se reflete em mais horas na conta delas. “Na década, a jornada masculina com os afazeres domésticos permanece em 10 horas semanais”, destacou.

Mesmo trabalhando mais horas, as mulheres têm renda menor, de 76% da remuneração dos homens. Esse número era de 71% em 2005 e reflete o fato de mulheres ganharem menos no emprego e também por não serem escolhidas para cargos de chefia e direção. Dos homens com mais de 25 anos, 6,2% ocupavam essas posições, contra 4,7% das mulheres com a mesma idade. Porém, mesmo nesses cargos, fazendo a mesma coisa, o salário delas era 68% do deles.

Apesar deste cenário, a pesquisa mostra que cresce o número de mulheres chefes de família. Considerando todos os arranjos familiares, elas são a pessoa de referência de 40% das casas. Entre aqueles arranjos formados por casais com filhos, uma em cada quatro casas é sustentada por mulheres. O percentual de homens morando sozinho com filhos é mínimo.

Nem trabalham, nem estudam

Acompanhando a tendência mundial, as mulheres jovens entre 15 e 29 também estão em desvantagem em relação aos homens da mesma idade. No Brasil, boa parte delas interrompe os estudos e para de trabalhar para cuidar da casa. Entre o total de mulheres, 21,1% não trabalha nem estuda, contra 7,8% dos homens.

Em uma década, a situação dos jovens chamados de nem-nem mudou pouco. Em 2005, 20,2% das mulheres estavam nesta situação e 5,4% dos meninos. De acordo com a pesquisa, a hipótese mais provável é que essas meninas estejam cuidando de filhos ou da casa. Em média, 91,6% delas contaram que dedicam 26,3 horas semanais a afazeres domésticos. Já entre os meninos, 26,3% dos nem-nem que responderam cuidar da casa dedicam 10,3 horas semanais à atividade.

A especialista do IBGE no tema, Luana Botelho, destaca que a situação não se alterou na década, mesmo quando a situação econômica do país era mais favorável, em 2005.”Podemos olhar a série histórica que a situação não se altera com a economia. O fato de ter mais ou menos emprego não vai fazer essa mulher deixar de ser nem-nem”, disse. Para ela, são necessárias medidas específicas para permitir que as jovens diminuam a dedicação às tarefas domésticas e voltem a trabalhar.

No total, cerca de 70% das mulheres brasileiras estão fora do mercado de trabalho. A maioria tem 50 anos ou mais e não tem instrução ou só completou o ensino fundamental.
