Morcegos com raiva determinam vacinação em Jardim Camburi e Santa Lúcia

A equipe do Centro de Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental (CVSA) diagnosticou dois morcegos com vírus positivo para a raiva e vai realizar nova ação de bloqueio casa a casa com a vacinação de cães e gatos, a partir desta terça (6). Os animais foram encontrados em Jardim Camburi e em Santa Lúcia. A ação será realizada num raio de 500 metros dos locais onde os morcegos foram encontrados.

O bloqueio vacinal antirrábico começará por Jardim Camburi e será realizado das 7h30 às 13h30, por, pelo menos, três dias. Nada menos do que 14 equipes de agentes de endemias participarão da medida preventiva para garantir o reforço da imunidade de cães e gatos. Em seguida, a equipe fará intervenção no bairro Santa Lucia e entorno, abrangendo áreas de Itararé e Andorinhas.

Servidores das unidades de saúde desses bairros irão às ruas orientar os moradores para que recebam as equipes de campo e também conscientizá-los da importância da imunização dos animais. Durante a ação, os agentes farão busca ativa de casos de agressão por morcegos na área de foco.

Abordagens

A equipe de Educação em Saúde do CVSA também realizará abordagens educativas em escolas, creches e locais de grande movimentação para divulgação do caso e orientação da população local sobre os riscos da doença, a identificação de novos focos e medidas de proteção/prevenção.

Orientações

“Caso encontre algum morcego vivo ou morto em situação anormal, como caído no chão, pendurado em janelas, cortinas, em cima da cama, à luz do dia ou que adentre a residência, não toque no animal e ligue imediatamente para o telefone 156, solicitando o recolhimento. Se possível, capture o animal sem tocá-lo, utilizando panos, caixas de papel e baldes ou mantendo-o preso em ambiente fechado até que a equipe do CVSA realize o recolhimento”, orienta a coordenadora do CVSA, Clara Scarpati Alvarenga.

Vacinação

A vacinação de cães e gatos contra a raiva é a principal medida de prevenção da doença e deve ser feita todo o ano. A vacina é gratuita e está disponível no Centro de Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental (CVSA), na rua São Sebastião, s/º, Resistência (veja no mapa). Mais informações pelo telefone 3324-5864.

Raiva

A raiva é uma doença grave e letal em quase 100% dos casos e pode ser transmitida pela saliva de animais infectados, por meio de mordedura, arranhadura e lambedura.
