Parque Natural do Mulembá receberá obras e terá núcleo de apoio às paneleiras

O Parque Natural Municipal Vale do Mulembá, no bairro São Cristóvão, em Vitória vai ganhar obras de melhoria na infraestrutura.

O parque vai ganhar cercamento frontal, pórticos de entrada, vias de acesso interno, estacionamento, Centro de Informações ao Visitante, Centro Educativo e Cultural e núcleo de apoio às paneleiras.  As obras custarão R$ 1,8 milhão.

As intervenções visam oferecer condições adequadas para o desenvolvimento das atividades de recepção e visitação pública, atividades de educação ambiental e de vigilância patrimonial da unidade.

Paneleiras

O núcleo de apoio às paneleiras será de extrema importância para o suporte das atividades dos tiradores de barro, utilizado na fabricação da panela de barro. A panela de barro constitui uma atividade ancestral, realizada há aproximadamente 400 anos pelas paneleiras de Goiabeiras.

A produção da panela e todas suas etapas estão protegidas desde 20/12/2002, por iniciativa do Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Iphan), que conferiu à mesma o título de Patrimônio Cultural do Brasil.

Parque

O Parque Natural Municipal Vale do Mulembá apresenta faixas de terras situadas nos bairros Joana D´Arc, Conquista, Redenção, São José, Tabuazeiro e São Cristóvão. Com área de 142,10 hectares, tem como um dos principais atributos naturais da unidade a vegetação de Mata Atlântica de encosta e topos de morros, como o Morro do Mulembá, cuja altitude é de cerca de 200 metros, nascentes e o córrego Mulembá.
