O projeto funciona na Praia da Costa, próximo ao Clube Libanês, das 8 às 17 horas.

A partir desta quinta-feira (01), o Projeto Praia Legal, que oferece banho de mar assistido para pessoas com deficiência, vai atender, diariamente, das 8 às 17 horas. O Praia Legal está instalado na Praia da Costa, próximo ao Clube Libanês. O projeto funcionava de sexta a domingo, das 8 às 16 horas. Quem quiser participar, é só comparecer ao local do projeto.

Vila Velha é o primeiro município do Estado a proporcionar o banho de mar, atividades de lazer e prática esportiva assistida. São oito cadeiras anfíbias, pranchas, boias, guarda-vidas, assistentes sociais, fonoaudiólogas e voluntários que estão à disposição.

Turistas – Para os turistas Eliana e Antônio de Oliveira, de Minas Gerais, o Praia Legal é ponto certo nas férias. “Nessa época passamos pelo menos dois dias aqui na Praia da Costa porque temos essa assistência. Meu pai aproveita o banho de mar e adora as pessoas daqui. Esse é um projeto que deveria servir de exemplo para todo Brasil”, afirma Eliana.

O projeto está situado no trecho da Praia da Costa conhecido como Curva da Sereia (próximo ao Clube Libanês), em razão da tipologia da área, caracterizada por uma formação rochosa que mantém o mar calmo e com poucas ondas, bem como pela extensão da faixa de areia que propicia atividades esportivas e de lazer.
