Relatório da ONU indica aumento de mais de 50% no cultivo de coca na Colômbia em 2016

Último relatório do Escritório das Nações Unidas sobre Drogas e Crime (UNODC) mostrou aumento de 52% na área de cultivo de coca – de 96 mil hectares em 2015 para 146 mil em 2016; 378 toneladas de cocaína foram confiscadas em 2016, um aumento de 49% em relação a 2015.

O último relatório do Escritório das Nações Unidas sobre Drogas e Crime (UNODC), divulgado no mês de julho (14), mostrou um aumento de 52% na área de cultivo de coca – de 96 mil hectares em 2015 para 146 mil em 2016.

As informações fazem parte do Projeto Sistema Integrado de Monitoramento de Cultivos Ilícitos (SIMCI), vinculado à agência da ONU.

De acordo com o documento do UNODC, foi observado um maior crescimento em departamentos colombianos localizados na fronteira, como Nariño, Putumayo e Norte de Santander – lugares com maior área do cultivo também na pesquisa de 2015. O relatório estimou um aumento de 34% na produção potencial de cocaína para 2016 comparado com 2015 – de 636 para 866 toneladas métricas.

Foi registrado ainda um aumento de 43% nos preços da folha de coca de 2016 para 2013, quando houve também aumento do cultivo.

O documento também possui resultados positivos: 378 toneladas de cocaína foram confiscadas em 2016, um aumento de 49% em relação a 2015.

Uma cooperação entre o governo colombiano e as comunidades locais está sendo criada para estabelecer soluções efetivas e sustentáveis que possibilitem ações coordenadas que abordem economias ilícitas e crime organizado, permitam que as comunidades tomem decisões sem interferência de grupos armados ilegais e promovam alternativas legítimas para garantir o desenvolvimento dos territórios.
