Simpósio Estadual de Oceanografia aborda aspectos da tragédia do Rio Doce

O IV Simpósio Estadual de Oceanografia (Seso/2017) começa nesta quinta (8) na Ufes. Com o tema “O desastre do Rio Doce: uma perspectiva oceanográfica social, ambiental e tecnológica”, o simpósio vai até sexta (9), no auditório do prédio IC-IV, no campus de Goiabeiras.

Dividido em três blocos – ambiental, social e tecnológico – o evento tem o objetivo de entender, debater e conhecer diferentes perspectivas a respeito da temática. A proposta do Bloco Social é despertar uma visão da problemática social no público jovem cientista, fomentando uma discussão necessária para a Oceanografia e áreas afins. Já o Bloco Ambiental será dividido em duas frentes: uma voltada para os organismos que o compõe e a outra para a toxicologia e os impactos na saúde humana. Por fim, o Bloco Tecnológico apresentará a visão oceanográfica tecnológica em torno das avaliações e compensações dos impactos até então estudados.

O evento é organizado pela Empresa Júnior de Consultoria em Oceanografia e Educação Ambiental da Ufes (Ecoceano), com apoio do Centro Acadêmico de Oceanografia e da Associação Brasileira de Oceanografia (Aoceano).
