Até o dia 20 de fevereiro deste ano, a Secretaria de Estado da Saúde do Espírito Santo (Sesa) recebeu 178 notificações de suspeita de febre amarela. Dezoito notificações foram descartadas. Do total de 160 casos, 39 foram confirmados para febre amarela silvestre, sendo que dez casos evoluíram para óbito – Ibatiba (03), Colatina (02), Itarana (02), Irupi (01), Pancas (01) e Santa Maria de Jetibá (01) – e 29 pacientes receberam alta hospitalar.

Os casos confirmados são de moradores de Ibatiba (13), Colatina (05), Itarana (03), Baixo Guandu (03), Brejetuba (02), Itaguaçu (02), Conceição do Castelo (02), Pancas (02), Laranja da Terra (02), São Roque do Canaã (01), Afonso Cláudio (01), Irupi (01) e Castelo (01). Com isso, há 121 casos em investigação com quadro indicativo também de leptospirose, febre maculosa, dengue e outras doenças com sintomas semelhantes.
