circuitocultural-vvA Prefeitura de Vila Velha lança o Circuito Histórico da Prainha nesta segunda-feira (19). O objetivo é intensificar o potencial turístico de Vila Velha e incentivar a visitação aos monumentos históricos e culturais da região onde nasceu o Espírito Santo. O roteiro cultural começará em visita à Casa da Memória, seguindo para o Museu Homero Massena, passando pela Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário, Academia de Letras, Gruta Frei Pedro Palácios, Forte São Francisco Xavier da Barra – 38ºB.I e termina no Convento da Penha.

A visita do circuito poderá ser realizada de segunda a quarta-feira, das 9 às 12 horas, com grupo mínimo de 15 pessoas.   Todo o circuito será acompanhando por um guia que dará orientações e explanações históricas de cada monumento. Os visitantes também receberão material impresso contendo informações sobre os monumentos.  Eles serão levados aos pontos turísticos de van.  O valor do passeio será de R$ 20,00 por pessoa.

O Circuito Histórico da Prainha é uma parceria entre a Prefeitura de Vila Velha, Província Franciscana, Academia de Letras de Vila Velha e 38º Batalhão de Infantaria e vai ter como primeiro operador o Sindicato dos Guias de Turismo do Espírito Santo.

“Vila Velha ganha um projeto enriquecedor para sua cultura e seu turismo. Muitos moradores da cidade não conhecem a importância histórica que o município tem, essa iniciativa dará a oportunidade para que todos possam conhecer um pouco mais da nossa história e dos nossos pontos turísticos”, ressalta do Secretário de Cultura, Esporte e Lazer, Alberto Pêgo.

Academia de Letras de Vila Velha

A Academia de Letras de Vila Velha é a entidade literária máxima do município, possuindo grande representatividade na classe artística, no cenário literário Espírito-santense e atuação junto ao Poder Público. Sua composição é eclética, com autores de diversos estilos, temáticas e origens. Sua participação no circuito cultural é ativa, com eventos abertos ao público, destacando-se o Sarau Domingo Poético que, instituído em 2009, acontece no primeiro domingo de cada mês, com intervenções culturais diversas. Promove também oficinas, palestras, encontros culturais, lançamentos de livros e de obras fonográficas.

Março de 1948 – em 07 de março, nasce o Centro Cultural Humberto de Campos.

Janeiro de 1954 – é lançada a pedra fundamental para a construção do prédio.

Outubro de 1957 – o prédio é inaugurado, tendo um pavimento térreo com 112,5 m2.?Setembro de 1959 – em 02 de setembro, o Centro Cultural é transformado na Academia de Letras Humberto de Campos, com 30 Cadeiras/Patronos.

Março de 1992 – a obra de ampliação de mais 133,5 m2, iniciada em fevereiro de 1991, é inaugurada.

Agosto de 2014 – o nome da Instituição é alterada para Academia de Letras de Vila Velha, sendo Humberto de Campos seu Patrono, e aumentado para 40 o número de Cadeiras/Patronos.

Gruta Frei Pedro Palácios

Frei Pedro Palácios, segundo registros históricos, nasceu aproximadamente no ano de 1500, na Espanha. No Brasil desembarcou em Salvador – Bahia, onde iniciou sua atividade missionária.

Baseando-se na experiência adquirida na Bahia, iniciou imediatamente a catequese dos indígenas, tornando-se assim o primeiro missionário do Espírito Santo, pois os Jesuítas estabelecidos em Vitória, desde 1551, não haviam ainda realizado as missões.

Impulsionado pela caridade cristã, Frei Pedro Palácios quis incluir na sua atividade missionária os moradores de Vila Velha e de Vitória. Como eremita instalou-se numa pequena gruta ao pé do Morro do Convento da Penha, e construiu ao lado um nicho para o painel de Nossa Senhora, diante do qual reunia o povo todos os dias para rezar o rosário e ensinar-lhes sobre as verdades da santa religião.

A Gruta é um vão formado pela natureza, embaixo de uma grande pedra situada no sopé da ladeira da Penitência, um dos acessos ao Convento. Possui aproximadamente um metro de altura e três metros de extensão em declive a partir da entrada, com perfeita visibilidade interior.

Segundo alguns historiadores, foi residência do Frei Pedro Palácios por mais de seis anos. Como parte dos seus votos de pobreza, dormia ali usando apenas uma pedra como travesseiro.

Forte São Francisco Xavier da Barra

Fundado em 1679, o Forte São Francisco Xavier da Barra representa a arquitetura militar portuguesa na defesa da Baía de Vitória. Ao longo dos séculos, o Forte passou por adaptações e reformas, destacando-se as realizadas em 1726, quando lhe foi dada a forma circular. No ano de 1862, o Forte foi cedido à Marinha do Brasil, chegando a abrigar a Escola de Aprendizes de Marinheiros do Espírito Santo.

Em 1917, o 50º Batalhão de Caçadores do Exército Brasileiro foi transferido da Bahia para o Espírito Santo, ocupando provisoriamente alguns prédios em Vila Velha. No ano de 1919, o 50º BC passou a se chamar 3º Batalhão de Caçadores e assumiu as instalações do Forte São Francisco Xavier da Barra. Finalmente, em 1972, o 3º BC mudou sua designação para 38º Batalhão de Infantaria.

No Forte, o visitante terá a oportunidade de conhecer um pouco mais sobre a história do Espírito Santo, ver armas e uniformes militares utilizados pela Força Expedicionária Brasileira na II Guerra Mundial e apreciar a incrível vista proporcionada pela localização privilegiada do Forte.

Convento da Penha

A história do Convento da Penha começou em 1561, com a construção da capelinha de São Francisco, pelo Frei Pedro Palácios, no alto da Pedra. Em 1568, construiu-se outra capela, que abrigava a imagem de Nossa Senhora das Alegrias. No ano seguinte passou a abrigar uma imagem de Nossa Senhora da Penha, vinda de Portugal. Em 1650, anos após a morte do Frei Pedro Palácios, os frades começaram a residir no convento e ampliaram sua construção. Assim a pequena estrutura cresceu e foi sendo remodelada até 1750, resultando no formato atual.

A subida ao Convento da Penha pode ser feita tanto de carro quanto a pé. O acesso para carros é por uma estreita e sinuosa estrada de pedras, onde o visitante pode apreciar a natureza que envolve todo o entorno da pedra do Convento. Para a subida a pé existem duas rotas: a que praticamente ladeia a rua de acesso para carros e a outra conhecida como Ladeira da Penitência, Ladeiras das Sete Voltas ou Sete Alegrias de Nossa Senhora, um caminho de pedras rústicas construídas pelos escravos, há mais de 450 anos, por onde passaram figuras ilustres da história brasileira, como Dom Pedro II.??Tombado como patrimônio histórico cultural pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) em 1943, o Convento da Penha possui grande parte do interior revestido em cedro entalhado pelo escultor português José Fernandes Pereira, entre 1874 e 1879. O altar-mor, atualmente composto por mais de 200 peças de 19 tipos diferentes de mármore, foi construído por volta de 1800, originalmente no estilo rococó. O Convento também passou por restaurações no ano de 1910 e entre os anos de 2009 e 2001.

Casa da Memória

A Casa da Memória funciona num imóvel construído no final do século XIX e foi iniciado o seu tombamento pelo Conselho Estadual de Cultura na década de 80. Seu acervo é composto por imagens que retratam a evolução do município de Vila Velha, além de documentos, objetos e equipamentos, tais como o Bonde 42, que representa o transporte coletivo da cidade entre os anos de 1912 e 1973; a Caravela Glória, obra do artesão Humberto Cypriano, uma réplica em nautimodelismo que trouxe o Capitão Donatário Vasco Fernandes Coutinho ao Espírito Santo, em 23 de maio de 1535; o Canhão Quinhentista, peça de artilharia usada pelos portugueses a partir do século XV; e a Estátua Vasco Fernandes Coutinho, obra do escultor capixaba Hippólito Alves, que utilizou em sua técnica pó de minério, calcita e resina, originando uma substância que imita a resistência e a assemelha-se visualmente ao bronze.Vasco Coutinho foi capitão Donatário do Espírito Santo e veio de Lisboa em uma embarcação com cerca de 60 homens a bordo, a maioria degredados. Combateu os indígenas e fundou as vilas do Espírito Santo e de Nossa Senhora da Vitória, onde desenvolveu o cultivo de cana e montou engenhos para a produção de açúcar.

A casa ainda possui um espaço de exposição permanente que preserva a memória etnográfica do solo espírito-santense e a história do Bonde em Vila Velha.

Museu Homero Massena

Homero Massena foi um renomado artista, filho de capixabas, nascido em 04 de março de 1886, na cidade de Barbacena – MG. Estudou odontologia no Rio de Janeiro e, retornando ao seu estado, foi jornalista, redator de jornal, relojoeiro, afinador de violão e prefeito de Bomfim – MG. Ainda cursou pintura na Escola de Belas Artes de Minas Gerais e, posteriormente, estudou na Academia de Julien, em Paris.

O artista impressionista trouxe sua técnica mais elaborada para o Espírito Santo, sendo uma grande referência para os artistas capixabas. Tinha como principal fonte de inspiração a natureza e utilizava em suas obras a riqueza de texturas e transparências, trazendo realismo às suas obras a cada pincelada, criando vida em seus quadros. Em 1951, foi convidado pelo então governador do Espírito Santo, Jones dos Santos Neves, a inaugurar e dirigir a Escola de Belas Artes do Estado.

Com a morte do artista, a residência onde Homero Massena e sua esposa, Dona Edy Massena, viveram, no período compreendido entre 1951 e 1974, tornou-se o Museu Homero Massena.

O Museu mantém a estrutura da casa do artista, bem como de seu ambiente de trabalho: dois quartos, banheiro, cozinha, sala, varanda, ateliê, móveis, objetos pessoais, quadros e afrescos nas paredes da residência, estes últimos produzidos pelas mãos do próprio artista. A casa é uma construção de meados do século passado, típica de beira de praia. Foi tombada pelo Conselho Estadual de Cultura em 1979 como Patrimônio Histórico.

Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário

Segundo registros históricos, ainda como capela, a Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário foi construída na Prainha, em Vila Velha, no ano de 1535 pelo donatário Vasco Fernandes Coutinho, sendo a mais antiga do Brasil ainda em funcionamento. Em 1551, com a chegada dos jesuítas ao solo capixaba, ergueu-se outra capela maior, consagrada à Nossa Senhora do Rosário.?

Na igreja encontra-se a Pedra d’Ara, encravada no altar, trazida pelo donatário assim que veio de Portugal. De acordo com pesquisas, a Igreja Católica tinha costume de ofertar às Pedras d’Ara, relíquias pertencentes a mártires canonizados por ela, como forma de reanimar a fé nos santos. A igreja também preserva em seu acervo o documento de doação das santas relíquias de São Colombo e São Liberato, além do selo hispânico em cera vermelha, conforme o Diploma do Vaticano em 1751.

A construção passou por vários reformas devido à fragilidade de sua edificação original, que consistia em argila, conchas trituradas e areia. Uma delas foi patrocinada por Dom Pedro II durante sua visita a Vila Velha, em 1860 e, como forma de homenagem, sua fachada foi reconstruída, passando a exibir o brasão de Portugal.

Tombado como patrimônio histórico cultural pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) em 1950, a arquitetura da igreja tem influência representativa do período barroco e é emoldurada por palmeiras imperiais, situadas na praça da frente, junto aos obeliscos em homenagem ao donatário Vasco Fernandes Coutinho.
