Vitória inicia campanha contra ratos

A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Semus) começa um mutirão de desratização nas seis regiões de saúde de Vitória na próxima segunda (08). A campanha de desratização contemplará as áreas consideradas estratégicas para o controle de roedores: regiões sujeitas a alagamento ou com condições socioambientais favoráveis à proliferação de roedores; com registro de casos notificados de leptospirose; e áreas com maior concentração de atividades relacionadas a alimentação.
Neste ano, a intervenção será realizada no mês de maio, com previsão de novo tratamento nos meses de agosto e outubro, em pontos estratégicos. Na primeira ação, será realizada aplicação de raticidas em praças, parques, ruas de feiras, praias, grandes avenidas e vias e logradouros públicos no entorno de grandes mercados que trabalham com produtos alimentícios.
A estratégia da ação buscou implementar o conhecimento adquirido na Capacitação sobre Controle de Roedores e Vigilância da Leptospirose, promovida no Centro de Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental (CVSA) pelo Ministério da Saúde e por técnicos da Prefeitura de São Paulo, nos dias 18 e 19 de abril.
“Esse treinamento foi viabilizado a partir de uma iniciativa do município de Vitória, e o conhecimento adquirido embasou o planejamento dessa campanha, bem como está ajudando a reestruturar o serviço de controle de roedores, com vistas a prevenir a ocorrência de casos de leptospirose”, afirmou a coordenadora técnica do CVSA, Clara Scarpati.
Além da equipe de servidores do CVSA, foram capacitados também representantes de Centros de Controle de Zoonoses de outros municípios da Grande Vitória e da Secretaria Estadual de Saúde (SRSV/Sesa).
Cuidados
O CVSA orienta também que comerciantes e moradores adotem cuidados nas áreas interna e externa das residências e edificações que podem contribuir para a redução do número de ratos e de outras pragas urbanas:
– acondicionar o lixo em recipientes e locais adequados, de preferência protegidos da chuva e elevados, para evitar acesso de animais;
– dispor o lixo na rua somente uma hora antes da passagem do caminhão de coleta e em local adequado;
– manter residências, quintais e terrenos baldios limpos, evitando acumular entulho ou materiais inservíveis;
– recolher alimentos, restos de ração e água dos animais domésticos durante a noite;
eliminar, cobrir ou telar recipientes que acumulam água;
– limpar semanalmente recipientes e estruturas que podem conter água, como bebedouros de animais domésticos.
Ação
Para atendimento das demandas relativas a infestação de roedores, a orientação é que todas as solicitações sejam protocoladas pelo Fala Vitória 156, com detalhamento da situação e indicativo do local de atendimento (rua, avenida, logradouros, etc).
